John Berney Crome was the son of John Crome, who cofounded the Norwich Society of Artists in 1803. As artists, both father and son were much influenced by seventeenth-century Dutch landscape painters, as well as J. M. W. Turner. Gallery label for installation of YCBA collection, 2016
