Watermark of which Churchill writes "SP 36/80 f 131, Crowder's Liberty. Crowder may have been an English paper-maker, but more probably an importer." CHurchill dates the watermark 1745. (Churchill, W.A. Watermarks in Paper in Holland, England, France, etc., in the XVII and XVIII Centuries and Their Interconnection. AMsterdam: Menno Hertzberger & Co.1935, 69).
