- Printed advertisement, apparently intended to be mailed, announcing lessons in painting on velvet. "Misses M. and H. Taylor, being on their way to Edinburgh ... propose staying one week [in Alnwick] to give lessons in the above fashionable accomplishment ... Proficients in flower painting may acquire the art in three lessons ... Six lessons, one guinea; three lessons, half a guinea ... Grounding the velvet ... which has the appearance of painting on black and coloured velvets is taught in two additional lessons. Terms seven shillings. ... Specimens of their style of teaching may be seen for one week ... at their lodgings at Mrs. Robson's, Narrowgate Street, Alnwick. [Signed] Alnwick, Dec. 6th, 1821."
