Originally issued in 24 numbers, forming the second volume of the Mechanick exercises; the first volume in 14 numbers, 1677-80, treats of the "art of smithing, joinery, carpentry, and turning."
"A line-for-line and page-for-page reprint of the original text", with facsimiles of the original title-pages. The phrase "The second volume" is suppressed in the facsimile title-pages following the editorial preface (p. [xxxi]) and in the running title and captions.
