Bound with: Skinner and Co. A marked catalogue containing the lots, what each respectively sold for, and the names of the purchasers. London : Printed for Kearsley ... Walker ... Sewell ... Flexney ... Robson ... and Egerton ..., 1786.
Frontispiece engraved by Charles Grignion; after Edward Francis Burney.
Signatures: pi⁴ A-2A⁴.
At foot of titlepage: "No.", the actual number to be inserted in MS.; a variant is without "No." at the foot of the titlepage.
A price list entitled 'A marked catalogue containing the lots' was published in the same year.
The present sale catalog, and the image depicted in its frontispiece, served as the primary point of reference for "Promiscuous assemblage, friendship & the order of things: an installation by Jane Wildgoose in celebration of the friendship between Mrs. Delany & the Duchess Dowager of Portland." The installation accompanied the exhibition "Mrs. Delany and Her Circle" (Yale Center for British Art and Sir John Soane's Museum, 2009-2010).

BAC: British Art Center copy bound in contemporary quarter calf with marbled boards. Armorial bookplates: Wm. Simonds Higgs and Baron Northwick. No. 1277 (completed in ms. on title page). Includes an added engraving of the Portland Vase printed in blue, tipped in at end.
