With a sheet of letterpress description, bearing the title and imprint for the set. Smaller versions of the four maps -- without personifications and with additional labels -- appear at the head of the sheet.
Includes four printed maps of the continents, with minimal text. Each map is elaborately completed in watercolor, rendering the geographical outlines into animal forms: Europe, the countries of which take the form of a variety of animals; Asia, in the form of boar's head; Africa, in the form a tiger's head and neck; and America, in the forms of a vulture (North America) and an elephant head (South America).
