Description based on a digitized copy at Princeton University and copy offered for sale (2013) by David Brass Rare Books. Title from the latter, which bears an illustrated title label on the publisher's original wooden drum; the imprint on the drum label is dated 1823. Both copies also bear an engraved imprint (without title) preceding the first panel, dated 1822.
Attributed variously to Theodore Lane or Thomas Rowlandson.
12 satirical scenes with doggerel verse: "Mister L'Squat quite full of life"; "The heyday of their honey-moon"; "Pitched in the pond"; "Lolling on bench"; "Gluttons of the east"; "At the concerts"; "At billiards"; "At the masquerade"; "Promenade"; "At a grand review"; "Crowds of creditors"; "The hour of tribulations."
