The text and plates (here re-engraved) have been taken from Views of the seats of noblemen and gentlemen, in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, [1st-] 2d series, published 1818-29, with plates after J.P. Neale, and text by Thomas Moule. The present volume of Scottish seats continues the author's Jones' views of the seats, mansions, castles, etc. of noblemen and gentlemen, in England.
