Edward Ryland, active in the Old Bailey and likely the printer referenced in this advertisement, had a son also named Edward Ryland. The son, Edward Ryland, was apprenticed to his father, Edward Ryland, in 1754, indicating that the father was active from 1754 at least.

Kippax; a book of text copies by Do.; a book of round hand by Do.; a book of Italian hand by Do.; a book of alphabets of all the hands by Do.; a new copy book of engrossing hand; great variety of black lines to write streight without ruling; 24 views of shipping of the Royal Navy in different attitudes; a book of landskips and shipping; a drawing book by whatto; a time table for setting of clocks & watches every day in the year according to the new stile; variety of equation tables for watch makers; variety of letter files for merchants counting houses; great variety of borders for decorating rooms & screens; funeral tickets of different sorts; great variety of copy book covers; also of lottery pictures for children; the best blacklead and pencils; the best sealing wax & wafers; ladies compliment cards engraved & printed; the best french ground for etching; bottle labels for chymist, druggist, & apothecary's; prints indentures and all sorts of blank bonds."
