The Education department, which is a part of the Research Division, plans and executes programming for the Yale academic community and the general public, including docent-led tours of the collection, and a variety of programs for school groups of all ages. The Education department has several long-running programs, including the Elm Shakespeare/High School in the Community dramatization program, the Yale Medical School partnership, which works to enhance observational skills in medical students, the Children's Film Festival, and regular professional development workshops and opportunities for teachers, as well as the Center's Student Guide program.
This collection consists of Education department records from 1975-2018. There are general administrative records, records that relate to tours held at the Yale Center for British Art, and records that pertain to specific education programs created and run by the Center.
