BAC: British Art Center copy box has ink stamp of Barley and Son, Bath.
"1. Open drawing board with hinges on top, and place same on a table, near a left-handed window as shewn in the illustration. 2. Place the reflecting glass between the two halves of the drawing board, in the centre, in an upright position. 3. Fix the drawing or sketch to be copied on the left-hand side of reflecting glass on the drawing board by means of drawing pins. Likewise the plain drawing paper on the right-hand side. 4. By looking through the reflecting glass from the left side, you will see the design to be copied plainly reflected on the right side. 5. Drawn with pencil of any color, the outlines clearly seen. 6. Duplicates or even triplicates can be obtained by simply placing the carbon paper between the drawing paper as usual."--Instructions, from underside of box top.
