- Thomas Williams of Middleton Stoney, with his brother William, is credited for the marble memorial monument for the Dashwood family, to be found in the Church of St. Mary, Kirtlington. The brothers were also responsible for architectural sculpture at Aynhoe Park, Northamptonshire. See: Gunnis, R. Dictionary of British Sculptors, 1660-1851.

Manuscript terrier, by Thomas Williams, of the Cublington estates occupied by Henry Stone, formerly belonging to the late Joseph Neale. It seems probable that the present survey was carried out for the purposes of valuing Neale's estate. The primary content of the manuscript consists of tables naming the various farms, with sizes given in acres, rods, and perches. There are also 14 illustrations, executed in pen and black ink with gray wash, presumably also drawn by Thomas Williams. Almost all of the illustrations depict classical themes, with several suggestive of mythological figures. Most of the illustrations are used to frame titles for the six sections of the terrier. These comprise : Weal Field, Brunket Field, Mead Field, Hokeum-Field, Meadow ground, and Inclosed ground (all in Cublington Parish).
There is also an interesting section of five pages at the start on "The nature, number, and content of the timber in Pedworth's Close, Cublington," which describes the number and sizes of oak, ash, elm, and aspen trees. - Subject Terms:
