With an engraved allegorical title page.
Most of the maps were engraved by Pieter van den Keere.
The atlas was issued by Cloppenburg in French in 1630 and 1636 as well as this Latin edition of 1632, then it was suppressed and the plates were not used again until 1673 and 1676 by Janson van Waesberge, Jansson's heir.
Relief shown pictorially.
With numerous errors in pagination. Numbers 281-282, 366-369, 441-444, and 605-606 are omitted from the pagination. Numbers 413-414 and 433-436 are repeated in the pagination. The engraved maps are printed on the same leaves as the letterpress text and are included in the pagination. The engraved title leaf has been printed separate from letterpress text and is not included as part of the pagination.
Includes "Index tabularum," pages [5]-[6], first sequence.
