Bound in contemporary full black gilt morocco, all-edges-gilt, and lettered "album" on the spine.
Pocket sketchbook containing skilled pen and ink drawings of medieval sculpture in York Cathedral, St Stephen's Chapel Westminster, Barnard Castle, Oxford Cathedral, St Mary's Tower Oxford, and Howden. There are also drawings of Lincoln College Oxford, Caerphilly Castle, Ragland Castle. The volume is interspersed with drawings depicting the heads of deer. A the end are 37 small drawings of women's hats from 1781 to 1876. On various sheets of tinted paper.
